Yes, my litle demented, son-of-a-gun, pain-in-the-neck wing. They were experimenting (the whitecoats/scientists that is) on...whatever the heck it was when Radar escaped from her "playpen" (I don't know much about where she was at the time). Just as one of the scientists was going to preform the experiment with a sharp tool (did I mention I was awake for this??) Radar bursts through the doors, runs past him and distracts him, causing him to sever my wing. Now, understand this before you all freak out. I have no physical pain receptors...until that point anyway. (I don't know how that worked out but it's nice to have...yet complicated. But it did aid in me getting the tracer chip out of my arm).
Anyway, my wing ended up growing into my shoulder, making it hard and painful to fly as well as causing my wing to stop short of growing.
I know these blogs are a little on the lengthy side of things, but to understand us you have to understand our stories right?
Okay, so at the moment Sonar and I are somewhere near PA. See, we're not like Max and her flock. We actually try to blend in with normal humans. We did go to school for a while in Virginia, but we had to leave. (We'd been there most of the school year though). It's kind of sad to get close to people and then have to leave them so soon. We had just met Butterfly when we escaped and she doesn't know much of her own story so we are trying to jog her memory. Hopefully reading the Maximum Ride books will help.
Gemini, our leopard morphing friend stayed with Radar, but we stopped in to say hello. Radar and I are gettting along so far, but there is still a little tension between me and my brother. I know he's apologized a million times, but Silence really needs to learn to keep some thoughts to himself and out of our telapathic connection. Oops. forgot to mention that part didn't I? Radar and Silence have the connection because they are both perfect. Which makes her also have the connection with me because Silence is my twin. I don't know how they did that, but it works.
For those of you who don't know, Silence really insulted my...defectiveness...when our younger brother was hurt. He blamed it on me and my defectiveness when really I had been hit in the back of the head. I was able to heal him (I can heal people. It's one of my gifts...I just can't heal myself) yet Silence still said that. So, I left them.
Now, when you are being tracked by hungry, monster-like creatures...like, I don't know, Erasers (half-wolf, half-human) you DO NOT go off on your own. I learned this lesson the hard way. So, yeah, I got taken back to the School (science lab), but it's all good because that's where I met Sonar.
See Sonar had helped most of his flock escape, but he and Storm had been left behind. Basically they sacrificed themselves. After helping me out, we flew off to Radar and my house for shelter. It just so happened that his flock had taken refuge there. Then low and behold Radar decided to come there after looking for me, and rescuing a three-year-old avian american named Jewel. Once again I had a fight with them and Sonar and I ended up leaving the rest of them behind becasue apparently Storm and them wanted to stay with the "perfect experiments". Whatever. So Sonar, me and Butterfly have been on our own for the longest time.
I am so tired. Last night we slept in some random place. It was pretty but totally NOT the most comfortable, unless you sleep on rocks well.
This here is a picture of our view last night.

Fly on Forever
Much love to you all
The One and Only,
Echo
