Chapter 3 I was in the wind tunnel and 6 or 7 scientists were looking through the glass wall beside me. The yellow light turned on. I unfolded my wings and jumped. I hovered in the air until the green light turned on. The wind came and I flew. I was just cruising. To show them this, I started doing stretches while flying. They wind increased. About 100 mph, still easy. I flew and did tricks. I flew upside down, did loops, dropped and shot up again. Slowly, the speed increased. I could hear the wind. I could feel my hair being blow backwards. It was no longer whipping around my head, just straight back. The wind was getting closer to 300mph. Out of the corner of my eye; I saw the scientists’ faces. Jeremy and the other one were shocked. Just to show them, I flew until I was right I front of the fan and grabbed on. The yellow light flashed. I pulled in my wings and hit the ground as the fan slowed. The red light flashed and a door opened. I waited… “Come in, Omega.” Michael called. I entered and saw the scientists. Michael and Julia were smiling, the others were writing in books, or on clip boards. I was about to smile because I knew I did well, but I didn’t. I must not flounce my achievements. The rules are rules. We must follow rules. Julia looked at me, “Thank you Omega. You may go to the termination arena now.” I saluted, “yes ma’am.” I marched to my room and changed into my fighting clothes. I walked to the termination arena. I knocked on the door and The Exterminator opened the door and smiled at me. “ahh! Omega! Just who I was looking for! We’ve got a few you need to terminate for us today!” he was always happy to see me. We walked to his desk and he sat down. “The first one is an unsuccessful Tiger/ human hybrid. She will go for your stomach, that’s one of her flaws. Another flaw is that her ears are useless. Take out her eyes and all she has is smell. Another flaw!” he smiled again.” You know what to do!” I walked out onto the platform and waited. I could see a few people in the stands; most people come on their breaks. Or when they hear that it’s my turn. The bell rang and the door at the other side of the arena opened. A boy covered in stripes ran out and snarled at me. I could see his fangs, his pointy ears, his yellow eyes, his clawed hands, his tail. I smiled and skipped towards him. He was confused. I guess I was sort of small, compared to the others he had fought. “Here, kitty kitty kitty!” I called. He snarled and pounced. I jumped and landed on his back. He tried to reach me with his claws, but couldn’t. He ran around trying to shake me off. I held on to his ears, tightly enough that they were bleeding. I poked my head up and in front of his face. He tried to claw at me. I moved at just the right time, making him scratch at his own eyes. He howled in pain and I jumped off. He spun and I grabbed on to his tail. I spun him around and unfolded my wings. I took off and held him above the ground, about 50 ft. “say good bye, fluffy!” I let go. I heard his scream and the sound of him hitting the ground. I flew down and waited for the next one. I took the other 3 out quickly. I was then aloud to go for my meal. I ate, and then went to the training area. I ran on the treadmill until 8:00 pm. I walked back to my room. I made sure that everyone was in their cots and that 47-0 was on the ground. At 8:30 pm, a horn sounded and I went to sleep.
