Anyway, here's the end of the "prologue" thing


Ignoring Drake, she approached Sage, who put her hand on her hip and glared. Everyone was holding their breath it seemed. I felt Jase’s eyes boring into the back of my head so I turned around.
“What?” I whispered. He just shook his head and turned his gaze towards the two girls who were silently glaring each other down.
“I would highly recommend,” Hailey spoke softly but fiercely and in a dangerous tone, “that you keep your little dog on a leash before he knocks someone else down.”
“And what if I don’t?” Sage’s voice dripped acid.
“Guys…or girls,” Bracken started reason, but Sage held up her hand to stop him as if to say ‘I’m handling it’ and he shut his mouth. Hailey seemed at a loss for words for a split second before a smirk flicked across her face.
“You’ll be one sorry chick.” Sage rolled her eyes. We had all heard that one. Still, something about the way Hailey had said it this time made me uneasy. It seemed that it was more of a promise than a threat.
“Get out of here, Hailey, and take your posse with you.” Sage turned and walked towards Drake. Bracken started to follow, but Jase stood where he was, waiting for my move. I nodded to him and he started to walk off with me when Hailey reached out and grabbed my arm with such force I nearly fell backwards. She leaned close to my ear and whispered words that sent chills down my spine.
“I could always mistake you for her.” Her face twisted into an even broader smirk before she let go of my arm. I turned and frowned at her, backing away slowly. She flipped her blond hair back over her shoulder and nodded to her two friends before stalking off around the house. Jase cocked his head questioningly, but I shook mine in reply. I put my arm around his shoulders and we followed Bracken and Sage into Drake’s basement to watch a movie.


"chapter one" (Yes sonar I am doing the date things...just not yet. I'll do that afterwards) will be for another day.
